Principal Researcher:

Dr. William Gage, York University, Ontario
Dr. Eric Lyons University of Guelph , Ontario

Project Scope:

This study will examine the athlete interface with different playing surfaces of both synthetic and natural fields that include different turfgrass types, densities and weed invasion. With the technology of a orthopedic neuromechanics research lab, repetitive measurements of athelete/ surface interface can be measured to determine if there is a potential for long term chronic injuries in addition to the documented acute injuries.
