Quantification of soil loss from commercial sod production in Ontario

Project Scope:

In commercial sod production a small layer of soil is removed and there is concern over the net soil loss following years of continuous production. This study will quantify the net loss or net gain of mineral soil from sod farms and correlate any variability with management practices. Future best management practices can be incorporated using the recommendations from this study.
